Monsoon Malabar

During the Southwest Monsoon months (June–September), green beans are laid out
in thick layers inside ventilated warehouses beside the Arabian Sea. The moist
monsoon winds flow in, the beans swell, take on a pale golden hue and lose
sharp acidity — resulting in that signature smooth, rich body and mellow
flavour we love.

From the Malabar
Coast in India (Mangalore region), sitting at 1,100–1,200 m altitude, varieties
like Kents, S.795 and Catimor thrive here. The story begins in the era of old
sailing ships: beans that travelled months at sea developed a unique character.
Today, the same effect is recreated on shore — a nod to tradition and place.
